Sectional meets kicked off this week across the state of Indiana. Several teams embarked to Terre Haute, Indiana, the self proclaimed Cross Country Town USA for their chance to head to the regional competition next week and ultimately the state meet.
Terre Haute South Vigo junior Jackson Bertoli and Mishawaka sophomore Anna Rohrer are this week's Athlete of the Week winners. Bertoli finished first in a new personal best 15:38.71 against a very tough field at the Brown County Invite. Rohrer kicked off her season with a new personal best of 17:46 to win the Viking Stampede. She followed that up with another sub 18 minute performance and win at the Northridge County Clash.
