Field Friday: Top Returners in the High Jump

The 2023 Track and Field Season in Indiana is here and some of the best athletes in the state have already started competing. Even with the start of official practices just about a month away, teams and coaches are already going full force into the season and getting on the track, and field, to see how the offseason has gone so far.

The high jump looks to be another thrilling event in 2023. The individual champion and runner-up on both girls and boys sides return this season and are sure to battle throughout the spring. 2022 IHSAA State Champion Emily Nannenga of Kankakee Valley jumped 5'10" to win the State title, a jump that comes into 2023 as the second best jump on the girls side.
