Ava Jarrell raced a smart race and made her move stick to earn not just her first podium performance in XC & Track but also a state championship.
After winning the 800m final Nicki completes her distance state champion trifecta. She won the 3200m for the first time in 2022, the 1600 for the first time in 2023, and now brings home the 800m title.
The dynamic duo of Jila and Laila would help Warren Central to a team title as they would score a whopping 51 points across the long jump, 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 200m, and the 300m hurdles
Fort Wayne Concordia would have a strong closing leg to pull away from the competition and earn the state title outpacing Carmel and HSE late in the race.
Dede Eberle would come back and win to get redemption after falling last year leading to a DQ. Her 100m hurdles time was her second fastest time in her high school career.
Kya Crooke would finally win the high jump state title after placing 2nd and 3rd the past two years. Her jump of 5-11 ties her PR and ranks her 9th in the country.
Hadley Lucas would take the meet record in both the discus and the shot put with throws of 169-06 and 51-11 respectivley in each event.
