Top three run away from the field in 3200-meter race
The big three coming in-Pendleton Heights' Ava Jarrell, Indian Creek's Libby Dowty, and Homestead's Addison Knoblauch-finished in that order, racing against each other throughout the entire eight laps.
Jarrell and Knoblauch put some distance between themselves and Dowty in the sixth and seventh laps before Jarrell took off with roughly 600 meters to go and finished with a time of 10:10.05. Dowty had a kick of her own and walked down Knoblauch for second place-10:15.14 to 10:17.53.
