Track Tuesday: Top Returners in the 3200 Meter Run

The 2023 Track and Field Season in Indiana is here and some of the best athletes in the state have already started competing. Even with the start of official practices just about a few weeks away, teams and coaches are already going full force into the season and getting on the track, and field, to see how the offseason has gone so far.

The longest individual race in Indiana Track and Field is another event that will see both state champions return in the 2023 season. Girls 3200 champion Nicki Southerland is coming off her first state championship and also a runner-up cross country finish last fall. The boys reigning champ also returns in the form of Carmel superstar Kole Mathison. With both champions returning along with many other all-state medalists coming back, the 3200 is bound to be a tremendous event in the 2023 season.
