Track Tuesday: Top Returners in the 1600


The 2023 Track and Field Season in Indiana is here and some of the best athletes in the state have already started competing. Even with the start of official practices just about a month away, teams and coaches are already going full force into the season and getting on the track, and field, to see how the offseason has gone so far.

The 1600 in Indiana has always been super competitive and deep. The returning champ on the boys side is back in the form of Carmel Greyhounds superstar Kole Mathison (pictured above). Along with the defending 1600 and 3200 meter champion, there are 10 total athletes returning that placed in the top 9 of the 1600 at the boys and girls state meets in 2022.
