Meyo Invitational 2010

Mary Cate Quiett of the DePaul track and field team brought the school record count at the Meyo Invitational to three after breaking her own 800m all-time best, in addition to meeting her first NCAA provisional qualifying performance of the season. She and the rest of the Blue Demon squads also tallied a total of 10 BIG EAST Conference qualifying marks on the second and final day of the nationally renowned meet.

Freshman Samia Taylor took seventh in the triple jump and two more Panthers posted top-10 times to highlight this weekend's participation by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team at the Mayo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame.Freshman Samia Taylor was Milwaukee's top finisher with a seventh-place showing in the triple jump. She leapt 39-5, just off her school-record personal best of 39-9 3/4. Senior Beth Zimmerman, also competed in the event, taking 27th with a jump of 36-5 3/4. In the long jump, Zimmerman was 30th with a distance of 17-10 3/4.

The 2010 indoor season has seen the IU men's distance runners gain national recognition. At the Meyo Invitational, the women's distance runners got in on the act. The Hoosiers got four NCAA qualifications in women's distance events, including two new school records.

Track fans at the Loftus Sports Center were treated to a record-setting meet Saturday as the Meyo Invitational wrapped up its 23rd edition.

Minnesota's distance medley relay clocked an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 11:15.70 to win the title.

The University of Louisville men's and women's track and field team are traveling back to South Bend, Ind. this weekend to compete in the prestigious 23rd annual Meyo Invitational.

The DePaul men's and women's track and field squads travel to Notre Dame for the third time this season, competing at the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 5-6.

Four members of the Kansas track team will travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Meyo Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 6, while the rest of the KU squad competes at the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.

The Hoosiers will hit the road for the first time this season, competing at the Meyo Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind., on Jan. 5-6. The meet, which will feature many of the top teams in the nation and will be hosted at the Loftus Center, is scheduled for a 5 p.m. ET start on Fri., Jan. 5 and a 9 a.m. ET start on Sat., Jan. 6.

The University of Iowa will again split competitors between two meets, this time in South Bend, IN at the Meyo Invite and in Lincoln, NE, for the Husker Invitational. Both meets start in the evening on Friday, Feb. 5 and will conclude in the afternoon the following day.
