Aaron Richter from Elkhart ran to a state best 4:25.96 in a meet that took place at the Lincoln Athletic Building in Michigan on December 16th. The facility features an oversized 300m track. He took the win in his race by nearly 2 seconds in route to a new PR according to our database.

Richter had a breakout cross country season this past fall where he broke 16 minutes for the first time in his high school career early in the season. By the time the state tournament rolled around Aaron was ready to go as he ran a 15:55 at sectionals and a 15:48 at regionals. The best race of his season came at the right time as he ran to an unbelievable 5th place finish with a time of 15:15 at LaVern Gibson for the
IHSAA State Championship.

Aaron will certainly look to use this momentum for this track season and has already improved upon his 1600m time. His best 3200m comes from last year's
3200m Distance Showcase at Carmel where he ran to a 9:45.41 to place 2nd in Heat 1 (pictured above).
