The Franklin Central Showcase Invitational

The meet is open to all athletes who meet the qualifying guidelines (see below).

Registration:must be completed between March 1st and Friday, April 5th, 2024. Immediately thereafter (April 7th), we will release the final list of qualifying relays and individuals. Please email Coach Sweetman if there is any doubt on whether or not your athlete qualifies.
Contracts: Your athlete/relay MUST have an IHSAA Contract on file in order to participate. Meet contracts will be emailed via EventLink to Athletic Directors as registrations are finalized.
Your athletes may not compete without a signed contract.
Cost: $25 per athlete and $50 per relay. Maximum per team: $200 ($400 max for boys and girls from one school).

Swag: Participating athletes will receive a meet T-shirt and these shirts will also be available for purchase. Concessions will be available including Chick-fil-A Sandwiches. Sandwiches are provided for up to 2 coaches per school.

FC Distance Showcase Qualifying Standards:*Can be run in calendar year of 2023 or 2024:
NOTE: These are not "best guesses." Your athletes need to have run the times you are entering. If your athlete is very close to a standard or has had a breakout season, please contact Coach Sweetman at Matt.Sweetman@ftcsc.org.
Boys Freshman Mile:
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 4:47.9 or faster (time trial is fine)
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 2:05.9 for 800M
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 10:17.9 for 3200M
B-Standard (contact Coach Sweetman...may be put on wait list): 4:59.9 or faster (time trial is fine)
*Please do not ask about or enter kids that have run 5:02, etc!
Boys Mile:
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): Top-25 in 2023 XC State Meet
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 4:25.9 or faster
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 1:56.9 for 800M
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 9:32.9 for 3200M
B-Standard (contact Coach Sweetman...may be put on wait list): 4:34.9 or faster (time trial is fine)
*heats are seeded by resume with input from many coaches
*priority will be given to most recent marks, AND 1600 marks over 800/3200 marks
Girls Mile:
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): Top-25 in 2023 XC State Meet
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 5:21.9 or faster
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 2:21.9 for 800M
A-Standard (go ahead and enter them): 11:29.9 for 3200M
B-Standard (contact Coach Sweetman...may be put on wait list): 5:29.9 or faster (time trial is fine)
*heats are seeded by resume with input from many coaches
*priority will be given to most recent marks, AND 1600 marks over 800/3200 marks
4x800 Relay (limit of one relay per school):
Boys: We want to put squads on the track capable of running 8:25 or faster
Girls: We want to put squads on the track capable of running 10:20 or faster
