NATCHITOCHES, La. --- ULM sophomore Heather Davis qualified for the 2007 NCAA Regional Track & Field meet today, winning the women's high jump at the Northwestern State Relays. She hit the qualifying mark of 5' 8.75" in her first competition of the outdoor season.

MONROE, La.---Senior Maya Aden has been named the 2006 Runner of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. The award is voted on by cross country sports information directors at institutions across the state. Senior Matt Brophy was also named to the men\'s team and juniors Jessica Baldino, Amanda Bartlett, and Amy Harris were voted to the women\'s team.
WACO, Texas--- The ULM cross country season concluded Saturday as the Warhawks competed in the NCAA South Central Regional Saturday at the Cottonwood Golf Course in Waco, Texas. Senior men\'s standout Maya Aden led the way finishing 27th.
Senior Maya Aden continued his outstanding year by finishing third in the men\'s 8-kilometer race with a time of 24:14.40, which earns him all-conference honors. That gives him a personal record for the Rebsamen course by over a minute. He ran an 8K in 25:41.08 at the same course on September 23 at the UALR Open. Aden\'s 2006 resume also includes three wins, two Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Week awards, and running the fastest 10K time in the conference this season.
