The second weekend of the IHSAA tournament was an exciting one. Many teams were fighting for spots at the Semi-State and putting great efforts in as we are now only 2 weeks away from the State meet.
Below we go through the regional weekend with a "By the Numbers" recap with facts and figures from the great weekend that was.
7: Schools winning both girls and boys Regional Team Champions

0.3: Seconds that Lily Cridge ran faster at regionals than sectionals.
Cridge's time of 16:46.0 at the Noblesville Regional meet virtually tied her season best from the week prior when she ran 16:46.3 at the Brebeuf Sectional.
7.7: Time of the 1-5 Split for the Zionsville Boys
Sam Spees was the Eagles first runner at 15:52.3 and their fifth runner John Turnbull finished at 16:00.0 creating an incredible 1-5 split for Zionsville.
13: Small School Teams to qualify for the Semi-State
Boys: South Knox, Clinton Prairie, Milan, Wapahani, Springs Valley
Girls: Adams Central, Morgan Township, South Knox, Faith Christian, Kouts, Forest Park, Monroe Central, Winamac
15: Lowest Winning score for a Regional Championship team
Columbus North Girls Score 15 points placing the first 5 team scorers in the meet. Their fifth scorer placed 6th overall but the other athlete was not on a scoring team.
Advancing teams will be participating across four Semi-States next weekend for a chance to head to the State Finals on October 29th. Look for previews this week for each of the four Semi-State locations.
