Center Grove sophomore Drew Costelow is transferring to Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Valor is a well-known program having produced the likes of 3-time state cross country champion Cole Sprout and heptathlon national record holder Anna Hall

Costelow will join former Indiana athlete Ty Garrettwho also transferred from Center Grove to Valor Christian last summer.

The loss of Costelow is another huge blow for the Trojans program. The boys team recently finished fourth at the 2020 IHSAA Cross Country State Championships, led by Costelow.

Valor Christian placed fourth at the 2020 Colorado State Cross Country Championshipsled by Garrett.

Costelow completed two XC seasons and one track season in Indiana, where he attained PRs of 2:01 (800), 4:24 (1600) and 15:27 (5K).

We caught up with Costelow to learn more on the decision.

"Our family over the last twenty five years have loved to come to Colorado to ski and now we decided to call it home. I'm excited to build on the core of my faith and expand my academics opportunities at Valor Christian."
