Sectional 24 - Franklin Community
Sectional 24 hosted by Franklin Community features two individual state contenders. Whiteland's Will Jefferson is one of the fastest boys in the state, and Franklin's Lauren Klem is one of the fastest girls. Both should easily handle the field this week and next, and will be fun to watch in the very tough Shelbyville Semi-State.
Center Grove is the team to beat in both boys and girls, though they could see a challenge from Franklin Community's girls team. You can pencil Whiteland and Indian Creek into third and fourth in the girls race, with Monrovia, Greenwood, Mooresville and Waldron battling for that last transfer spot.
Whiteland comes in as the second best team in the boys race. Franklin, Greenwood and Mooresville would also be expected to advance out of this sectional.
IHSAA Sectional #24 will get under way at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
