Sectional 3 - New Prairie
Chesterton has had an impressive year, and looks poised to take two sectional championships on Saturday. The Trojans have six boys that can run under 17:00, and the girls team features five runners capable of running under 20:00. Should Chesterton win both races, it would be their first boys sectional championship since 2009 and their first girls title since 1998.
Valparaiso could have something to say about both team titles, though they will need a great race to challenge Chesterton. LaPorte will likely advance both teams to the Regional, with Portage and New Prairie likely to advance on the boys side.
Wheeler's girls team will likely advance to the Regional, and could challenge Chesterton and Valparaiso for the sectional championship. Portage and New Prairie should have a tight battle for the final transfer spot in the girls race.
Racing will begin at New Prairie at 10:00 AM Central Time.
