Sophomore Ari Fisher placed 37th overall out of 249 runners, and the University of Toledo women's cross country team finished 16th in the competitive Pre-Nationals Invitational Saturday, hosted by Indiana State. Toledo entered the weekend ranked No. 32 in the country, fourth in the Great Lakes Region, and had the best finish of the four MAC teams entered in the field, outdistancing conference preseason favorite Miami by 64 points.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- The University of Akron women's cross country team competed in their 6K race of the year at the ISU Pre-Nationals toady at Indiana State's LaVern Gibson Championship Course. The meet was divided into two races, blue and white, the Zips placed 25 of 37 in the white race.
The 30th-ranked Notre Dame women's cross country team finished ninth, while the men finished 15th at the Pre-National Meet Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.
The Florida State cross country teams made the trip to Terre Haute, Ind. Saturday and turned in solid performances at the NCAA Pre-National meet. The Seminole women placed second overall with 135 team points thanks to a pair of top 10 finishes by Susan Kuijken (2nd, 20:20.8) and Pasca Cheruiyot (7th, 20:36.6). The men were led by Matt Leeder who finished 18th overall as the Seminoles finished in 8th place.
Saturday will mark the Oregon men's and women's cross country teams return to the Pre-Nationals Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., for the first time since 2005. Last November in the Ducks most recent visit to the LaVern Gibson Championship Course, individual national champ Galen Rupp led the men to their second straight NCAA title, while the women posted their second straight runner-up finish.
Nine Top 30 teams look to provide a challenge for Ohio State
The Charlotte men's and women's cross country team travels to the campus of Indiana State University for the NCAA Pre-Nationals Meet in Terre Haute, Ind., this weekend. The meet will feature 19 nationally-ranked squads for both the men's and women's race, while eight of the men's top ten teams will compete and seven of the women's top ten teams will run in the race.
