Unified-Franklin Central v Greenwood 2023

Indianapolis, IN

Meet Information

In 2023 the MileSplit helped develop a registration platform specifically for Unified meets. We are going to be continuing that system for 2024.

Short Explanation: The registration process is straight forward for coaches, allows us to make small tweaks according to host school requests, and allows us to get the data sorted the way we need to meet those requests. You will see five different divisions. Make your entries accordingly. We can merge divisions to match what the host schools wishes are.

DIVISIONS YOU WILL SEE WHEN REGISTERING

  • Athlete/Partner 100, 400, Shot Put, Long Jump: # of Athlete and # of Partner: Set by host school. We default set it to 2 Athletes and 2 Partners per event, but the host school can request those be adjusted.
  • Exhibition 100, 400, Shot Put, Long Jump: # of Exhibition athletes are set for unlimited by default. Host school can request a change/limit on those if desired.
  • Scoring Relay: Separated out by Boys and Girls. # of relays set for 1 by default. Host school can request a change/limit on those if desired.
  • Exhibition Relay: Separated out by Boys and Girls. # of relays set for unlimited by default. Host school can request a change/limit on those if desired.

OPTIONS FOR HOW WE HANDLE DIVISIONS (to be determined by host school)

  • Option A: Host school wants all Athlete/Parnters to be merged to a single Unified division as the "scoring" heats/flights, then run multiple exhibition heats to get marks for all athletes. Host school can determine how many Athlete/Partners from each school will be included in the scoring division and how many exhibition entries there may be. This is typically how Invitational/Sectional style would operate.
  • Option B: Host school wants ALL athletes put into one single, Unified pool, with no scoring (as there would be an uneven and unverified number of athlete and partner combinations). This would typically be how a meet would be run if you were not interested in team scoring at all, and simply want to get competitive heats/flights for all participants and marks for future entries.
  • Option C: Host school wants ALL athletes put into one single, Unified pool, and score the meet (even though there would be no verification/regulation of the number of athlete and partner combination). This is an option but would not have a balanced number of athlete and partner combinations.
