Welcome to the Charlie Riley Track and Field Invitational. We hope that you have a great day. Below you will find all the information you will need for the meet. (Please unload buses on North End of the stadium and park the buses on the South End of the stadium) Cost is $5.00

Starters: Bill Farney and Johnny Walker

  1. Competing teams:

  • Women: Arsenal Tech, Ben Davis, Carmel, Cathedral, Center Grove, Hamilton Southeastern, Marion, Lawrence North, Muncie Central, and North Central.

  • Men: Arsenal Tech, Ben Davis, Carmel, Cathedral, Center Grove, Fort Wayne Northrop, Hamilton Southeastern Lawrence North, Marion, and North Central.

  1. Time Schedule:

  • 4:45 PM: Check in and scratches for the field events. Scratches for the field events will take place at the event. Womens shot and mens discus goes first along with both high jumps, both long jumps and the pole vault.

  • 4:45 pm: Running scratches will take place in the press box.

  • 5:30 pm: Field events begin.

  • 6:00 pm: Running events begin.

  1. The entry fee is $150.00 per team ($300.00 for both teams) plus TWO WORKERS.

  2. North Central must receive the entry list, alphabetical list and entry fee byMonday, April 15, 2019, 8:59 AM. Information must be e-mailed to ploggan@msdwt.k12.in.us and entries will be sent to Milesplit

  3. Replay television will be available for use by meet officials only.

  4. No dressing room facilities will be available.

  5. Seating for all teams will be in the stadium across from the press box. No athletes or coaches will be allowed on or across the football field. Athletes are restricted to their team location in the stands or staging areas for their specific event.

  6. Awards:

  • Gold medals to all first place finishers.

  • Silver medals to all second place finishers.

  • Trophys to each winning school

  1. At the conclusion of the meet, an outstanding performer award will be announced for the womens meet and the mens meet.

  2. We will run timed finals in the 100 , 200, 400,110 hurdles and 300 hurdles (you may enter 3 athletes we will run 3 timed finals)

  3. We will run 2 heats of the 4 x100 relay (Fast heat and a slow heat)

  4. Three athletes may be entered in the individual events (800, 1600, and 3200) and the three may participate. An athlete may participate in a maximum of four events.

  5. The track next to the football practice field and stadium may be used for practice.

  6. Events will not be delayed due to an athlete participating in a field event. Athletes, along with members of a relay team, must report to their running event at least five minutes prior to the final call or the contestant or relay will be scratched.

  7. The lead off runner of a relay team is responsible for getting a baton and a starting block.

  8. In the shot put, discus and long jump you may enter 3 participants and 3 participants will be allowed 4 throws or 4 jumps

  9. Discus and shot practice along with the competition are restricted to their appropriate areas.

  10. All athletes must have assigned numbers on the back of their uniforms.

  11. The North Central trainers will be available to assist any athletes needing help.

  12. Scoring for the meet will be as follows: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

  13. The decisions of the meet officials are final.

  14. The practice heights, increments and opening heights for the pole vault and high jump will be determined by the director of the meet. The following heights are suggestions.(Only two participants in these events)

  15. The mens high jump will begin at 5'6" and be raised 3" each time to 6' and 2" there after. The womens high jump will begin at 4'6" and be raised 3" each time to 5' and 2" thereafter.
