SCORE. CHILDERS. DOWTY. THREE EVENTS, THREE LEADERS

Score is the only Indiana girl under 2:15. Childers swept two events in one afternoon. Dowty leads the 3200m even off her best.

The outdoor season has basically just started but the leaderboards already have shape, with notable contributions from three schools in particular. Bishop Chatard has three athletes in the 800m top seven. Westfield has three in the 1600m top seven. Hamilton Southeastern has three in the 3200m top ten. Here is where the top 10 stands.

Julia Score leads the state 800m by more than six seconds. The Indianapolis Bishop Chatard senior ran 2:13.55 at Bishop Chatard vs Guerin on Apr 4 - a PR and the state lead. Score is a multi-event distance threat with national meet experience. Last outdoor season she placed 2nd at the IHSAA Girls State Track & Field Meet in the 3200m (10:28.64), ran 4:53.88 in the 1600m, and competed at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in four events. She placed 7th at the IHSAA State XC Championships in the fall. The Wake Forest commit has two teammates in the top 10 of the 800m leaderboard - Grace Leppert ran 2:19.94 for second and Maggie Rushenberg ran 2:25.42 for seventh, both at the same meet.
