The FlashRock Invitational proved to be interesting with Holland West Ottawa out of Michigan making the drive down to take on some of Indiana's top talent. Helen Sachs clocked a blistering 16:57.37 and led the team to a win at the Northview course. Sachs is ranked 7th in the nation according to our database and is 11th in our most recent subjective MileSplit 50 Rankings. She would become the first girl in the history of the course to break the 17 minute barrier beating out Nicki Southerland's record of 17:01.9 from last season which had far more favorable racing conditions.
Pendleton Heights' Ava Jarrell finished 2nd in 17:38.54 and Mallory Weller of #3 Concordia Lutheran came 3rd in 17:52.60. Indiana number 1 ranked Carmel would claim second behind one of the top ranked Michigan schools with 72 points in a team average of 18:38.79. Concordia Lutheran placed 3rd with a team average of 19:01.02. Other notable teams competing at Northview included #7 Noblesville (19:27.9 average), #8 North Central (19:36.09 avg.), #11 Hamilton Southeastern (19:47.99 avg.), and #15 Westfield (19:47.87 avg.)

Northview church hosted yet another Flashrock Invitational for the boys where Hayden Kemple of Clinton Prairie claimed first place in a time of 15:33.62. Temps would continue to rise throughout the race with Jackson Gackenheimer of Warsaw and Benson Davis of Pendleton Heights to follow in second and third respectively. Eight individuals would also run under the 16 minutes mark in the championship race. Cooper Knoblauch would lead the #10 Homestead Spartans to a 47 point win over #8 Hamilton Southeastern (52 points) and #15 Warsaw (95 points).
