Girls Elite Race

The Pendleton Heights duo of Ava Jarrell and Anya Zoeller dominated once again, breaking away early and becoming the only runners to finish under the 18-minute mark. The duo has finished 1-2 in three of their four races this season, with the exception of last week's Marion Invitational, where Julia Score of Bishop Chatard finished ahead of Anya by six seconds. This week, at Eagle Park, Carys Glyn-Jones of Columbus North, Bailee Montgomery of Dupont Manual, and Sadie Foley from Carmel rounded out the top five, all with times under 18:30.

In the team race, #1 Carmel continued their winning streak, scoring 59 points to defeat #3 Columbus North by a decisive 40-point margin. #5 Zionsville finished third with 129 points.

Boys Elite Race

The boys' race had a thrilling finish, with sophomore standout Calvin Seitz of Jasper narrowly beating Neal White of Columbus North by just 0.2 seconds. Both finished with a time of 15:21, ranking Seitz as the 13th fastest sophomore in the nation. Seitz also now holds the title of fastest sophomore in Indiana this year, edging out Banner Barnes' time from last week by 0.3 seconds. Sixteen other boys broke the 16-minute barrier, with Jacob Mitchell of Bloomington North (3rd), Brandon Haas of Brownsburg (4th), and Kraedyn Young of Jennings County (5th) completing the top five.

In the boys' team competition, top-ranked Brownsburg lived up to their ranking, defeating #3 Columbus North 48-75. #4 Carmel finished third, followed by #5 Bloomington North and #9 Mt. Vernon in a stacked field.
