Announced on Tuesday, Addy Wiley has shared that she has signed a contract with Adidas. She will forgo the rest of her eligibility with Huntington University and any other NAIA or NCAA school due to the loss of her amateur status.

Addy announced this just three days before her indoor season is slated to begin as she mentioned in her announcement that "there was no better time to go all in on giving [herself] the best opportunity to make [her] first Olympic team in 2024."

She will have the opportunity to race her way on to the 2024 Paris Olympic team this year with the US Olympic Team trials taking place from June 21st to June 30th. The trials are set to be hosted once again at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon with the top three in each event making the trip to Paris. Hayward Field should be a familiar place for Addy as she placed 5th with a time of 4:04.25 in the finals of the USATF Outdoor Championships last July, just 1.15 seconds behind the winner who was
Nikki Hiltz

She holds PRs of 3:59.17 in the 1500m and 1:57.64 in the 800m from this past September which explains her absence for most of the 2023 cross country season. Both of these races occurred overseas with her 1500m taking place at
Allianz Memorial Van Damme and her 800m taking place at Gala dei Castelli.

In just 3 semesters Addy has torn up the scene on the NAIA level. She claimed the NAIA National Cross Country Championship in Vancouver this year in her lone outing of the 2023 season. This was also the first national championship that moved the women's distance up from a 5K to a 6K. Wiley would win this year's championship meet with a margin of victory over 10 seconds to get redemption after placing runner up the year as a freshman at the 2022 Championships down in Tallahassee.

Last indoor season Addy had an extremely impressive series of events at the
NAIA championships as she quadrupled winning each of her races in the finals. The NAIA has prelims for every event in the indoor season meaning that Addy had to compete EIGHT times over the course of only 3 days. She would be crowned champion in the 600m, 800m, 1000m, and Mile.

In high school Addy accumulated several accolades including winning the 800m/1600m state championship double twice in her Junior and Senior years, a feat that had not even been done even once before. In both these years she would win Gatorade Girls Track & Field athlete of the year.
Wiley would also secure the national high school 1600m record after state of her Senior year where she would run to a 4:26.16 at Grand Valley State University. Her converted mile time would also beat Katelyn Touhy's mile record from 2018.

Addy expressed her excitement in closing stating that her team is in place and that she couldn't be happier. She will be someone to continue and keep an eye on throughout the season especially when the Olympic Trials roll around in June.
