Sectional 1- Highland
Calumet, East Chicago Central, Gary West Side, Griffith, Hammond Bishop Noll, Hammond Central, Hammond Morton, Highland, Lake Central, Munster, Whiting
The Highland sectional is mostly dominated by three main teams. Lake Central, Highland, and Munster will most certainly take the first three team spots in both the boys and girls races. Lake Central appears to be the favorite in the team races as they stand head and shoulders above the other squads.
On the girls side the Indians have a potent top 3 of juniors led by individual favorite Addison Roth that will surely help guide Lake Central to the team victory.
The boys individual race favorite at this time is Joey Lapatra of Griffith High School. Jalen Strietelmeler of Highland and Austin Wojcik of Lake Central could also be in the mix for the boys individual title.
