As we get closer and closer to the 2023 edition of the IHSAA State Track and Field Championships, everyone's mind is wrapped up in attempting to predict who will take home a state title. But the other thought should be on those state meet records and if any of them could fall this weekend.
While many of the boys' records seem to be locked right where they are at and untouchable at least for this year, there are two that have a good chance of going down on Friday night.

Girls High Jump - state record is 6ft from 1985, Malina Miller and Kya Crooke have cleared 5-10 this season. Could either one get 2.25 inches more?
Boys 4x800 - state record is 7:37.90. This will be a tough one but could happen for Carmel or Bloomington North as both have stellar 4x8 squads and Carmel has confirmed that Mathison is racing on their squad.
