To all Indiana Cross Country and Track and Field fans,

My name is Josh Horowitz and I will be a contributor for MileSplit Indiana starting in the 2022 Track and Field season. I've been around and involved in the sports of cross country and track and field now for almost 15 years. After being introduced to running in middle school, I decided to run cross country and track in high school. I was a member of the cross country and track teams at Carmel High School for four years including, running on the 2013 Indiana XC State championship team that also placed 5th at Nike cross nationals the same season.

Post high school, the desire to coach the sport took over immediately. I was an assistant at Carmel Middle school for two years to start off my coaching career. Then, I moved to Bloomington, Indiana and started coaching at Bloomington South under head coach Larry Williams. I have been an assistant with the Panther cross country and track teams at South for the last six years and have enjoyed working with some amazing athletes. It has been incredible to learn from some great coaches in my short time coaching our great sport and I hope to continue leading athletes in the sport of running for years to come.

Running and coaching in the state of Indiana has been an incredible life experience for me and the people around me. I am always wanting to share more about what our state has to offer in terms of cross country and track and field. I'm excited to join MileSplit to be able to continue spreading the love for our great sport. I hope to be able to reach a wide range of the state for readers, fans, and viewers to learn more about the great athletes in the state of Indiana. I greatly appreciate what MileSplit has done for the running community and look forward to helping contribute.
