Over the weekend, adidas Indoor Nationals took place in Virginia Beach, VA.
A plethora of talent from around the nation traveled to compete in the national meet.
Indiana's own Izaiah Steury was one of them.
Steury competed in both the mile and 2 mile.
He would kick off the weekend with the 2 mile, dropping a 9:11.85 which was good for 8th place.

Fast forward to Sunday evening, Steury would toe the line in the mile. He raced smart and was in the mid-pack for a majority of the race. With about 2 laps to go, Steury turned on the jets, passing a handful of runners and crossed the line in 2nd with a time of 4:11.43.
Steury's 4:11.43 converts to a 4:09.98 1600.
That mark is the first sub-4:10 indoor 1600 ever run in Indiana history.
