Regional 16 - Pike Central
Castle High School will look to make it back-to-back boys regional championships at Regional #16 hosted by Pike Central. The Knights are the clear favorites in this race, and could take five of the top ten places.
South Knox comes in as the second best team, and Evansville FJ Reitz would be expected to finish third. Evansville Central should advance to the semi-state, with Vincennes Lincoln, Gibson Southern and Evansville Memorial racing for the last transfer spot.
Barr-Reeve and South Knox should have a tight race for the girls regional championship. Princeton and Gibson Southern are the third and fourth best teams in this race, and could make some noise in the race for the regional championship. Pike Central and Evansville FJ Reitz will fight for the right to run again next week in the semi-state.
The Regional at Pike Central will get started at 10:30 AM Eastern Time.
