2020 IHSAA Regional Previews: 13-16

Regional 15 - Crawford County

Floyd Central will look to add two regional championships to the trophy case this weekend. The Highlanders have won four consecutive girls regionals and the last two boys regionals, and are favorites to add to both streaks at the Crawford County regional on Saturday.

Jasper brings the second best boys team to this sectional, and Heritage Hills should take the third spot. Tell City, Corydon Central, New Albany and Borden will have a tight race for the last two transfer spots.

The boys race should feature a close race for the individual title. Forest Park's Spenser Wolf won Sectional 30 with a 16:10, and Corydon Central's Camden Marshall won Sectional 29 with a 16:09.

Jasper and Corydon Central will race for second in the girls race. Northeast Dubois and Forest Park should have a good fight for fourth, while Southridge and Heritage Hills could knock one of those teams out of the top five with a good day.

Jasper's Andi VanMeter and Floyd Central's Jaydon Cirincione should have a close race for the individual girls championship. Both VanMeter and Cirincione have run under 18:45 this season, and both became sectional champions last weekend.

The Crawford County regional will begin at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
