2020 Riverview Health Invitational Results

The Riverview Health Invitational took place Saturday morning and it brought plenty of action on both the individual and team side. Down below is a meet recap written by Jacob Clamme. 

Nicki Southerland continues to impress in her Freshman campaign. The Delta Eagle is undefeated in high school, and on Saturday set the fastest time in Indiana at the Riverview Health Invitational. Southerland's 17:35.0 was just 6 seconds clear of Park Tudor Sophomore Sophia Kennedy, who set the fourth fastest time in the state. View that race down below.

Carmel won the girls title in the "Championship" division with 5 runners in the top 15 and 6 runners under 19:00. Hamilton Southeastern took a decisive second, nearly 100 points ahead of third place Zionsville.

New Palestine Senior Brenna Shaw won the "Invitational" race in dominant fashion with a time of 18:54.9. The team title also went to New Palestine, as the Dragons finished 40 points clear of Pendleton Heights. View the Girls Invitational race down below.

In the boys race, Carmel's Kole Mathison topped the field of 135 runners with a time of 15:16.4, good enough for fourth in the state this year. Brebeuf Junior Krishna Thirunavukkarasu with a second place run and a time of 15:21.6, the sixth fastest time in the state. Noblesville's Travis Hickner came home third, 23 seconds off his personal best time this season. View the Boy's Championship race down below.

Carmel made it a sweep of the team championships, narrowly edging out Noblesville and Hamilton Southeastern in the boys race.

In the "Invitational" division, Huntington North's Harrison Niswander took the win with a time of 16:14.3. Cathedral won the team title ahead of Huntington North and Warren Central. View the Boys Invitational race down below.
