Ben Johnson - Sophomore
The experience at NXN was like nothing I've ever been a part of before. Having been to two Junior Olympic national meets, I thought I had an idea of what to expect and what the outcome would be like. The environment, experience and emotions surpassed everything from my past experiences. From the moment we landed in Portland to the end of the journey, everything was execuated well and efficiently. The Nike campus was a sight to behold, and the employees running the event did a fantastic job of making sure the athletes were able to do as much as they could. The race was so exciting and nerve-racking at the same time; every element about it seemed professional and correct. Our team became closer and more united through this experience, and we all wish to qualify in the future, preferably the near future.
