Enclosed you will find general information about John Reed Invitational being held at East Noble High School
on Friday, May 1

Entry Fee: There is an entry fee of $200 per team
Entries: The window for entering athletes will be open this year on Mile Split. For individual events,
you may enter 2 athletes. For relays, you may enter up to 8 athletes. No athlete will be
allowed to compete in more than 4 events. The entry deadline is currently pending due to
a new outside source handling our timing. We will send out a newly updated
information sheet once we have the information from our new timing source.

Travel can be a factor for several teams. Please be understanding if the start time of our event
is delayed due to travel as we want to give all teams a fair opportunity to warm up safely and
effectively.

East Noble Senior Recognition will start at 5:00 PM during the coaches meeting so we can honor our track &

field seniors so they can still have time to get warmups in before the meet begins.

2026 John Reed Relays Meet Information

Coaches
Meeting:

5:00 PM - Inside East Doors (Main Gym Lobby)

Check-In: Coaches are asked to check-in their teams inside the main gate immediately upon arrival.

Scratches should be reported upon arrival in the gym lobby.
Parking: All buses should park in front of school in the main parking lot.
Team Camps: Team camps need to be located north of the track outside of the fence or on the visitors

bleachers on the east side of the field.

Athlete
Safety:

It is the responsibility of each coach to have properly informed their athletes of the dangers
associated with track and field and to help in their supervision.

Shot/Discus
Certification:

Weigh in will take place immediately upon your arrival in the gym lobby.

Pole Vault
Certification:

Vaulters will not be allowed to participate without the proper certification form having been
submitted to the pole vault judge.

Substitution: Anybody on roster as long as not in 4 events total.
Field Events: 4 attempts in long jump, shot put and discus no finals
Girls shot put and boys discus will compete first
Boys long jump and girls high jump will compete first
Girls Pole Vault will compete first.
Pole Vault: The pit will be open to both boys and girls to mark steps prior to the meet start, but
will be only open for girls to warm-up prior to the competition start. After the girls competition,
the boys will be allowed 20 minutes to warm-up before their competition begins.

2026 John Reed Relays Meet Information

May 1st, 2026

Starting heights for the vertical jumps will also take into consideration the athletes competing

in the event. These starting heights are subject to change.

Relays: No relay cards will be used. All relay runners need to check in with the clerk and walk down to

the start line together.

Appeals: All appeals must be presented in writing to the Clerk of Course and from there will be

forwarded to the Jury of Appeals. Jury: IHSAA Starter

Clerk of
Course:

All runners should report to the Clerk of Course located at the north chute of the track prior to
the second call for their event.

Awards: The following awards will be presented following the meet:

Championship Trophy
Amy Yoder & Phil Yoder Mile Winners Trophy
Rich Anderson Outstanding Performer of the Night/Andy Bell Outstanding Performer
of the Night - Coaches vote on an outstanding performance of the night they saw from
a competing team. Does not have to be the highest point athlete. Can be anything
from an impressive mile time to an amazing leg in a relay that was worthy of praise.
Medals -We will award medals for 1st place finishers.
Medals will be handed out by the start/finish line on the conclusion of an event.

Track: Only spikes 14 inch or less will be allowed. Starting blocks must also be 14 or less.
