Meet Information
Register Your Athletes
Sectional registration follows the same registration process used throughout the season. If an athlete is missing a birthday in the MileSplit database, you will be prompted to enter it during sectional registration process. Be prepared with athlete birthdays easily accessible before beginning the registration process. Please reference the support article linked below for step-by-step instructions regarding the registration process:support.milesplit.com/en/article/2754df
3-Participant Standard + Alternates
When registering for Sectional, you will see 3 divisions: 3-Participant Standard, High School Girls, and Alternates. Every team must register their two athletes who will compete at Sectional within the High School Girls division. If you have three athletes that have hit the 3-Participant Standard during the season, please enter the third athlete in the separate 3-Participant Standard division. You will not be allowed to register more than 1 athlete per event in the 3-Participant Standard division; the other two athletes must be registered in the High School Girls division. Register your one alternate athlete for each individual event in the Alternates division. Note: Relay leg alternates are entered as the pool of 8 athletes on the relay team in the High School division, not in the Alternates division.Sectional Seed Time Information
Sectional seed times are verified marks only, meaning all seeds are pulled from the outdoor 2026 season and must be uploaded to MileSplit. Ensuring your regular-season meet results are as up to date as possible is critical to a smooth Sectional entry. Do not wait until the last minute. Verifying your marks on MileSplit is a proactive step that can be done before registration opens.
You can check for missing results by viewing your team schedule to verify that all attended meets are listed with correctly formatted results. If results are missing or not formatted correctly, contact the meet timer/host to upload or support@milesplit.com for assistance. Update Entries if an Athlete Improves After You Register
If you register as soon as registration opens and your athlete achieves a PR after you submit, you can edit your entries at any time before the registration window closes. Seed times will automatically be updated at noon the day after registration closes so that meet hosts can download their entries and prepare for the upcoming meet.
CSV Export of your Entries
Coaches will receive a CSV entry file from MileSplit via email at 10:00 PM EST the night they register. If any changes are made to the entries, a new CSV file will be sent at 10:00 PM EST on the night the changes were made. This is the file that needs to be completed and submitted to MyIHSAA by your Athletic Director. If you did not receive an email of your entries after 10:00 PM EST the day you registered, check your spam folder before reaching out to the MileSplit customer support team. When you reach out, please include your name, your email address, your school, and the Sectional meet you registered for.
