The Greyhounds finished second in today's Carmel Semi-State with 66 points to a strong effort by Hamilton Southeastern with 37 points. Other teams included Westfield (96), Indianapolis Cathedral (110), Lawrence Central (124), Franklin Central (190), Brownsburg (209), Avon (235), Zionsville (236), Warren Central (306), Plainfield (324), Shelbyville (340), Center Grove (344), Ben Davis (391), Roncalli (403), Franklin Community (406), Southport (458), South Dearborn (477), Greenfield Central (498), and Rushville (576).
Individual winner was Hamilton Southeastern's Troy Reeder with a time of 15:45.2. Running for Carmel were freshman Ben Veatch (10th in 16:06.5), Michael George (18th in 16:16.1), Corey Turner (20th in 16:16.8), Robert Browning (21st in 16:17.0), Ben Anderson (25th in 16:22.4), Charlie Watson (27th in 16:28.3) and Jaedon Wilson (32nd in 16:37.9).
Carmel will compete in next week's IHSAA State Meet in Terre Haute on Saturday October 27th, 2012.
