BOYS
Hall threw a PR of 51-4 to place second at the Owen Valley vs. Cloverdale vs. South Putnam meet on Apr. 23, a big time breakthrough that improved his ranking to 44th in Indiana across all grades in the shot put, and 6th among sophomores. He opened his season at 45-8 on Apr. 7, followed by 46-2.5 on Apr. 9 and 46-2 on Apr. 21, before delivering his first 50-foot performance. The progression shows a steady climb of over five feet across the month. Hall has also been active in the discus this season, throwing 147-2, which ranks 75th in Indiana.
Barnes ran a PR of 14.78 to win the Jay County vs. Bluffton vs. Celina meet on Apr. 21, a time that ranks him 17th in Indiana across all grades in the 110m hurdles. The performance marks a significant drop from his previous best of 15.62 from 2025. He opened his season at 15.56 on Apr. 7, followed by 15.76 on Apr. 16, before his breakthrough sub-15 performance. Barnes returned to competition on Apr. 23, running 15.98, but his Apr. 21 race stands as one of the top sophomore marks in the state this season.
GIRLS
Goff ran a PR of 12.57 to win the Fountain-Warren Bi-County Meet on Apr. 23, a performance that ties her for 60th in Indiana across all grades in the 100m. The mark represents a significant improvement from her previous best of 13.27, which now positions her as one of the top sophomores in the state. She also holds a PR of 26.67, a big drop from her season opener of 27.85 seconds.
Boren ran 2:23.85 to win the Wawasee vs. Warsaw vs. Northwestern meet on Apr. 21, a PR that ranks her 55th in Indiana across all grades in the 800m and 12th in the freshman class. The performance comes after a pause in the distance. She ran 2:40.24 in 2024 and came back two years later to drop 16 seconds off her time. Boren also opened the season with 1:01.17 in the 400m and has since dropped her PR to 59.10.
