Cameron Todd and Tony Provenzano were this year's talent from Indiana showcased at Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego, CA.

The duo would compete at the historic Balboa Park cross country course that has featured several racing icons throughout the years. Todd would be the first of the two to finish also leading Team Midwest with an 8th place finish.

Cameron would get out in 25th place at the half mile mark where he was exactly 3 seconds off the race leader at the time. Over the course of the next mile, he would work his way up to second by the 2400m mark.

After being the top returner from last year with a 6th place finish this year's result was likely not was Cameron was hoping for. Despite this Todd remains as one of the very few Indiana boys to experience Foot Locker Nationals in multiple years. He wraps up his high school XC career as a state champ, NXN runner-up, as well as an All-American for the second year in a row at Foot Locker. Cameron is one of the three seniors from Indiana competing at FL to also be set to run for the University of Notre Dame next year.

Tony Provenzano had a unique experience at Foot Locker Nationals this Saturday. His former Carmel teammate and 2022 Foot Locker National Champion Kole Mathison was the coach for the Midwest team as part of the announcement of Kole's new NIL signing with HOKA

Provenzano would start out the race right next to Todd in 23rd place and would also move up rather quickly positioning himself in 12th by the mile. He would stay with this tight pack of runners for a majority of the race. With 200m to go Tony was in 15th place, running in the last position to earn All-American honors. He would catch a runner from Team South in the final 10-20m to improve his positioning to 14th.

Tony is one of only 41 Indiana boys to qualify for the FL Nationals and one of 26 to place 15th or better
. Provenzano peaked at the right time to end a successful high school XC career highlighted by a 4th place finish at state and 14th place All-American finish this past Saturday. Provenzano is committed to run at IU Bloomington after graduating.
