It has been two weeks since NXR Midwest took place at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. Two weeks where Bishop Chatard sophomore Julia Score did not know if she would receive an at-large bid after finishing 7th with a 17:25.0, just 5.2 seconds behind the last automatic qualifier Addison Knoblauch who recently finished runner-up at the FootLocker Midwest Regional.
Late Saturday night the NXN comittee announced their five at-large individuals and four at-large teams for both genders with Julia being the last selection on the girls side!
Julia will join Libby Dowty, Addison Knoblauch, Cameron Todd, and Will Conway as the 5th Indiana runner in Portland next weekend. The race will feature 50 individuals not on an advancing team as well as 22 teams for each gender. This also means that Indiana will have a total of 10 qualifications across the boys and girls races at NXN and Foot Locker Nationals!
MileSplit will have coverage from the national meets over the next couple of weeks before we officially transition to indoor track!
