The indoor track at Taylor University was packed on Saturday with athletes, coaches, and fans all geared up for a full day of Track and Field as Indiana Runner put on their first of three indoor meets this season.

A youth meet with over 200 competitors took place in the morning before the high school meet where another 800 or so athletes competed in a flurry of events. That's right, about 1,000 athletes competed this weekend at the Indiana Runner Opener and there were many great performances through out the day.

Field event highlights include Luke Himes of Heritage Christian winning the shot put with a toss of 64'3.75" and Colin Wilson of Hamilton Heights also threw over 60 feet to place second.

Kya Crooke of Heritage Christian was a double event winner winning the 60 meter dash and high jump.
