Updated: 2022 National Signing Day in Missouri

Wednesday, Nov. 9, was national signing day for track and field and cross country athletes across the Show-Me State and nation.

Here's a quick recap of the athletes headed to compete at the next level.

Jonah Allison & Josh AllisonHillsboro, Southern Illinois

The brothers will run together at the next level, heading from the Class 4 champions to Carbondale, Illinois. Josh won the Class 4 championship on Friday, while Jonah took third place. Josh has been all-state six times, while Jonah has three between the two sports.

Maya Anderson, MICDS, Kentucky

The Class 5 300-meter hurdle and triple jump champ this spring and added an AAU Club Championship to her resume in July in the triple jump.

Brennan Boord, Staley, Pittsburg State

Took fourth place at the Class 5 meet in the discus and was fifth as a sophomore

Sadie Burchett, Carl Junction, Central Methodist

She's a two-time sectional qualifier in the 1,600-meter run. She also competed in cross country for the Bulldogs.


Connor Burns, Southern Boone County, Oregon

Won all seven of his races this fall, taking the Class 3 cross country title last weekend. Set a new personal and Missouri-best 14:32.30 in the Chile Pepper Festival in October. Won the Class 3 state XC title last year and the 3,200-meter run in the spring.


Hobbs Campbell, Joplin, Kansas 

Finished his cross country career with a fifth-place finish at the Class 5 championships and was 14th the year prior. Earned a runnner-up finish in the 1,600-meter last spring, earning all-state two years in a row in that race. 

Colton Ellingsworth, Galena, Rockhurst

Believed to be only the third runner to go to college from the school and the first to go to the Division II level. Finished sixth in the Class 1 XC finals and was all-state in the 1,600-meter run in 2021.
