The Blackwell AAU Invitational kicked off early January action Saturday morning in Fort Wayne. The Turnstone Center hosted the age-group divisions races in a full slate of events.

Here are some early highlights include:

  • Cole Sikorski was a double winner in the 17-18 year old 800m and the 600m runs.
  • Noah Carmicheal was a winner in the 17-18 division in the 400m/200m double and was second in both the 60m/600m events.
  • Chandler Jones won the high jump and was second in the long jump in the 17-18 division.
  • Tajaina Mckenzie was a winner in the 17-18 60m, 200m, and long jump.
