Boys Recap
The Fishers boys team traded results with the Hamilton Southeastern boys from the week before and swept the field, taking not only the Top 5 spots but the entire Top 7 spots with their varsity boys. Alec Foster was the individual winner of the Regional while teammates Sam Quagliaroli and Tate Meaux helped lead the sweep with their 1-2-3 finish under 17:00. Hamilton Southeastern seemed to rest their top runners but was still a comfortable runner-up with 80 points ahead of Wapahani and Monroe Central who took home the 3rd and 4th place finishes. Yorktown, led by Luke Harber in 9th place, pulled out the final qualifying spot by 3 points over Pendleton Heights- 143-146.
Girls Recap
The host Delta's Nicki Southerland was the convincing individual winner with a time of 18:48, good enough to win by 1:23 over Elizabeth Barrett from Fishers. The team title was very close with Hamilton Southeastern pulling out the 6-point win over county rival Fishers, 45-51. Pendleton Heights was a clear 3rd with 80 points while the host Delta girls took 4th and Pendleton Heights 5th with respective scores of 141 and 163 to qualify for the New Haven Semi-State.
