Voelz Runs Best 800 by Indiana Athlete, 6th at US Trials

Samuel Voelz, a 2017 New Palestine grad and current University of Notre Dame athlete, made it all the way to the finals in the 800 at the Olympic Trials, setting a new personal best of 1:45.54 and placing 6th overall.

His time goes down as a new school record for Notre Dame and is the fastest recorded time of any runner from the state of Indiana.

Voelz time bests Shelbyville grad, Daniel Kuhn's time of 1:46.06 set back in 2018.
