MileSplit Indiana: Editor Update

Hello everyone!

My name may be familiar to some of you, but to others perhaps not. I'm Logan French, the new MileSplit Indiana Editor.

To provide some background about me, I am a 2019 graduate of Lowell High School in Northwest Indiana, and I'm currently studying marketing at Purdue Northwest. I competed in cross country and track during my sophomore through senior years, and I was also a member of the swim team during my senior year. I have always had a competitive side to me, and no better way to demonstrate that than by using sports as the vehicle. I have always been a sports follower, and will always be. Not just running in particular, but also basketball, hockey, lacrosse, and auto racing. You can usually catch me watching a sporting event or reading up on something sports-related.

Over the last two years, I have contributed to the MileSplit Indiana site as a freelancer. I originally began to write for the site because I wanted to help grow its following and expand the coverage in the Hoosier state. This quickly grew into a passion of mine. I knew it was something I wanted to continue for the long-term. I was fortunate enough to attend the state cross country meet last fall, and I love the running community and its competitive atmosphere.

Now that I am the state editor for Indiana, I'm excited to take over for my predecessor, Becca Atchley. Without her, the site would not be where it's at today. She has put in countless hours to provide high quality high school coverage throughout Indiana. My goal is to continue to strive to make Indiana grow by providing our followers with a vast amount of meet coverage, including race and field event videos, photos, interviews, features, results and more! There are so many talented athletes across the state and I want to help showcase and recognize them. This cross country season, I hope to have feet on the ground at many meets and in all geographic regions across the state in order to provide the fans with what they want! I'm very excited for this opportunity and I'm looking forward to getting started!
