Girls

The West Lafayette trio of Mary Shultz, Emma Tate, and Ellie Tate will be doing battle with Maggie Gutwein for the individual title. Gutwein won in convincing fashion at the Benton Central sectional while the West Lafayette trio broke away and battled within themselves for the win. Mary Shultz ended up taking the victory but her teammates were not far behind. This race could be anyone's for the taking.

The team competition is West Lafayette's to lose. Their strong front three and solid 4 and 5 will play a big role in their run at the regional title. Twin Lakes will be looking to capture 2nd place behind their front runner Maggie Gutwein. They will be challenged by McCutcheon and Harrison. Benton Central will be looking to advance in fifth. Seeger and Faith Christian will attempt to Upset Benton Central and qualify for Semi State.

Boys

Caleb Williams will be looking to lead his Harrison teammates William White and Caleb Beimfohr to another postseason top 3 sweep. Once again they will be challenged by West Lafayette's trio of Mitchell Curl, Tyler Milam and Harry Shook. Benton Central sectional champion Lucas Pietrzak will also look to challenge for one of the top spots in the race.

The team race will be between Harrison and West Lafayette. Harrison edged out West Lafayette thanks to their strong front 3 and will most likely do the same again on Saturday. McCutcheon and Frankfort should advance without having to stress too much. The battle for the fifth and final spot in the semi state meet will come down to Seeger, Lafayette Jefferson, and Fountain Central.

Girls:

Rochester's Mallory Hiatt took home a convincing victory last week at the sectional round vs Culver's Alexis Allen. This week should be a similar storyline. Logansport sectional champion Karli Miller is also in the race and should be up at the front also.

The team race features a team in Warsaw that won by a pretty big margin last week. They are once again the favorites to advance. Culver Academics, Rochester, and Manchester were all only separated by 3 points last week and should once again battle closely. The girls from Western will look to advance to semi state but will need to hold off Maconaquah in order to do so.

Boys:

Mitchell Rans, Caston's stud senior, will look to claim his third consecutive regional title on Saturday. His closest competitors will be Plymouths Enrique Salazar and Warsaw's Zeb Hernandez. Logansport sectional Champion Bailey Scott will look to finish amongst the front of the race as well.

Just like on the girls side, Warsaw is the heavy favorite after their convincing win at the sectional meet. Plymouth, Caston, and Rochester should all advance easily to next week's meet. The fifth and final spot will come down to Logansport sectional foes Logansport and Western.
