A 6 foot clearance yesterday was witnessed in the girls high jump at the IHSAA Girls Sectional #32 held at Zionsville as junior Katie Isenbarger cleared a new school record and US #2 state leading height of 6'0" on her home track.
A third place finisher at the Indiana State Meet the past two springs, Isenbarger had inched closer to 6 feet this spring with a 5'11.50" prior personal best clearance in a tri meet on April 25th.
Isenbarger also leaped to a new personal best mark of 17'8" to finish runner-up in the sectional meet at Zionsville. The Hoosier State Relays champion in the high jump this March, Isenbarger currently has the state's best performance in the event by 3 inches over Crawford County's Haylea Crandall who cleared 5'9" yesterday at her sectional meet at Floyd Central.
