Emma Wilson from Greencastle High School in Indiana took home her first state title on Saturday by running 17:45.90 on the 5K course. Rounding out the top three were Phoebe Bates from Carmel High School and Tyler Schwartz from Dekalb High School. Wilson has gone undefeated all year on the cross country course. This is her third state title as she also won the 1600m and 3200m this past spring.
The ladies from Zionsville Community High School took the team win with 118 points. Fort Wayne Carroll High School finished second with 129 points while Carmel High School placed third with 169 points.
