SOMERS, Wis.—Junior
Jackie Henderson and freshman
Erika Wilson both had strong showings this weekend to lead the University of Southern Indiana women's track and field team to a seventh-place finish at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships.
Henderson captured her second-career GLVC individual title as she finished first in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10 minutes, 12.71 seconds. She also helped USI's distance medley relay team to a fourth-place finish.
Wilson earned co-GLVC Freshman of the Year honors as she finished second in the 5,000 meters and fourth in the 3,000 meters.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles had six top-five performances and 10 top-eight efforts as they finished with 45 points. Lewis University won the team title with 157 points.

Kaylee McClanahan rounded out the Eagles' top-five finishers with fifth-place efforts in the 5,000 meters and 3,000 meters, respectively.
USI will have to wait to see if Henderson has made the final cut in the 5,000 meters for the NCAA II Indoor Championships, which are March 11-12 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Eagles open their outdoor schedule April 1-2 at the Washington Invitational in St. Louis, Missouri.
