Women’s runners move into national poll,
Men’s runners hold position at No. 7

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's cross country team joined the USI men's program in latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Top 25 poll.

USI's women entered the national rankings at 20th and moved to third in the latest Midwest Region rankings. The Screaming Eagles, who captured the Indiana Intercollegiate Little State title last Friday, are one of two Great Lakes Valley Conference programs in women's national rankings this week. Bellarmine University dropped to 22nd in the national rankings and fourth in the Midwest Region poll.

The Eagles remained seventh the men's national rankings and second in the Midwest Region poll. USI, which captured the Little State Championship and was fourth overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate last Friday, also is one of two GLVC schools to earn a spot in this week's Top 25 poll. Bellarmine held its national ranking of 16th, while the University of Wisconsin-Parkside dropped out of the national rankings.

USI returns to action October 1 at 8:30 a.m. (CDT) when it takes part in the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
