BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The No. 7 University of Southern Indiana men's cross country team captured its 16th Little State title Friday at the Indiana Intercollegiate as it finished first amongst 15 non-NCAA Division I schools and fourth overall in the 21-team field.

Junior Michael Jordan finished first amongst non-NCAA Division I competitors and 15th overall to pace the Screaming Eagles, who captured their first Little State crown since 2007. Freshman Tyler Pence aided the Eagles by finishing fifth in the Little State competition and 27th overall, while senior All-American Dustin Emerick and sophomore Efrain Flores finished 31st and 32nd overall, respectively.

As a team, the Eagles finished the overall competition with 134 points and the Little State competition with 33 points. Purdue University and Indiana University finished first and second, respectively, while Indiana State University finished third. Wabash College was fifth overall and second in the Little State competition.

The Eagles return to action October 1 when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky, to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic.
