EVANSVILLE, Ind.—After a two-year hiatus, the University of Southern Indiana men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Indiana Intercollegiate Friday at 2:30 p.m. (CDT) in Bloomington, Indiana.
USI's men, which were ranked seventh in the preseason U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Top 25 poll, are coming off an impressive performance that saw them finish first out of 11 teams at the Covered Bridge Open two weeks ago in Boone, North Carolina.
Junior
Michael Jordan and freshman
Tyler Pence paced the Screaming Eagles by finishing third and sixth, respectively.
The last time USI competed at the Indiana Intercollegiate in 2008, USI's men finished fourth overall and second in the Little State competition (non-Division I).
USI's women finished first in the Little State competition and fifth overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate in 2008. The Eagles are coming off a sixth-place finish in their season-opener at the Covered Bridge Open two weeks ago.

Jackie Henderson and
Adrienne Curtis paced the Eagles by placing 20th and 24th, respectively.
