LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team had six top-five performances and 11 top-10 finishes Saturday at the Bellarmine University Invitational.
Sophomore
Ethan Jacob was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead the Screaming Eagles, while freshman
David Gladys was fifth in the steeplechase.
USI also got top-five efforts from senior
Russell Farris, freshman
Thomas Snider, sophomore
Michael Whitehead, and junior
Derrick Thomas.
Farris and Snider each had fourth-place finishes in the javelin and pole vault, respectively, while Whitehead and Thomas finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 1,500 meters.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday when they compete at the Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, and the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
