EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana sophomore Dustin Emerick was named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field team for his performance at the league meet.
Emerick, who was named to the second team, led the Screaming Eagles with pair of top-five performance as the GLVC Indoor Championships February 27-28. The 2009 GLVC Indoor and Outdoor Track Freshman of the Year finished second in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters to finish with 16 of the team's 42 points.
The award marks the second time that the cross country All-American has earned All-GLVC honors in indoor track after he garnered first-team honors a year ago. Including cross country and outdoor track, Emerick is a five-time All-Conference performer.
